I came across this old flashlight once day at a local thrift shop. It had such a unique and nostalgic look I had to grab it. After getting it home I realized it would make a superb clock and soon got to work.

I had original planned on back lighting the acrylic face, creating a soft glow. However, the clock mechanism took up most of the space so I had to scrap the idea. The face is hand-painted acrylic with custom cut brass hands. I used the star and lightning bolt elements on the hands to return a sense of nature, wonder, and excitement to an object designed for so much adventure.
